Obituary of Natalie O'Dell

We lost a shining light. Natalie O’Dell passed away peacefully on Tuesday October 11th at home with her husband, dear friend (Sabine Wright) and Cody by her bedside.

She was a Coast Guard wife of 38+years to Michael O’Dell. Loving Daughter of Kathleen Wilkinson, Sister to Karen, Mark, Gail and Matthew Litfin, Sister-in-Law to Jean Litfin, Aunt to Maya Litfin-Jacobs along with Mark, Daniel and Jeffrey Litfin. Stepmother to Joshua O’Dell and his wife Bobbi-Jo O’Dell and grandma to Joshua Jr. O’Dell and Jesselyn O’Dell.

Natalie was an organ recipient who paid this benefit forward by working as a Transplant Volunteer at Lifepoint and Sharing Hope SC for over 25 years. She was able to connect with so many people and was both inspirational to and inspired by her close friends, colleagues, care givers, and the amazing donors and recipients that she met. Small in stature but a giant at heart.

Friends are invited to meet and share stories and memories at an informal celebration of her October 27,2022 from 11 am – 1pm at the church hall at Immaculate Conception Church on 510 St. James Avenue in Goose Creek, SC. Casual wear is requested, and lunch will be provided.

Natalie will be cremated, and her final resting place will be with her family in Baltimore, MD. In lieu of flowers please make donations in her memory to Sharing Hope South Carolina (Make a Gift – We Are Sharing Hope SC ).
