Obituary of Ellen A Rizzi

On Saturday, October 22, 2022 Ellen A Rizzi passed away. A native of Long Island, NY but long time resident of Summerville, SC she was a fiercely loyal and devoted Mother, Grandmother, Sister, Daughter, Aunt, and Friend. She is survived by her two children Michael and Elizabeth (Ashley), her best friend and Granddaughter Olivia, her parents Victor and Helen Miller, her sisters Linda, Patricia, Karen, and Elaine, numerous nieces and nephews, countless friends and neighbors, and her beloved companion dog Motley. Preceded in death by her brother Victor, her niece Jamie, and nephew Michael. Ellen was an avid gardener, animal rescuer, and friend. She never met a person she couldn’t hold a conversation with and everyone was family. The majority of her life was spent in service of others from over a decade of being a leader in scouting between Cub Scouts and Girl Scouts, team mom for many a soccer season, unofficial bus for anyone who missed the school bus, to member of the neighborhood welcome committee and unofficial second mom to many of her children’s friends. She will be forever loved and missed by anyone who ever had the privilege of knowing her. For any whose lives she touched, or wish to celebrate her life and pay last respects, her visitation service will be held Saturday, October 29th  at Simplicity 281 Treeland Drive, Ladson, SC 29456 from 3pm until 5pm.
