Obituary of Donald Nason Moody

Donald Nason Moody

Don, aged 57, of Summerville, S.C., passed away peacefully surrounded by his family.  Reunited with his mother and father, Don is survived by his wife Eileen, his children Joshua, Jessica, Marlin, 4 grandchildren, sister Donna, nieces, and nephews.

Don was a dedicated employee to Navel Information Warfare Center (NIWC), who enjoyed mentoring those around him and sharing his knowledge. Don served in the New Jersey Army National Guard and was active in United States Army Brotherhood of Tankers (USABOT), where he helped restore multiple tanks. Don’s favorite past-times included spending time with family, cooking unique meals, hanging out with his military buddies and friends, and brewing his own beer.

Don had a huge heart and was always welcoming others with open arms. He dedicated his life to those around him. He was everyone’s go to man, always willing to lend an ear or a shoulder to lean on. He found joy in making extra special memories for everyone, such as making homemade pizzas each Christmas day, baking your favorite desserts every birthday, and planning memorable activities for the family.

In lieu of flowers, please consider donating to the American Lung Foundation.

A celebration of life will be held at Palmetto Brewing Co. 289 Huger Street, Charleston, SC 29403 on November 19th from 1-4 PM.
