Obituary of Winsome Barbara Addison Martin

Summerville, South Carolina - Winsome Barbara (Addison) Martin (66) passed away on November 4, 2022, at Trident Medical Center. She is survived by Thomas, her husband of 33 years, and their children Irvin (Naru), Hannah, Gunther, Samuel and Sarah Martin. To include her precious granddaughter, Kira. She is also survived by her brothers Winston, Peter, Dean and Sean, and her sisters Elaine, Elizabeth, Sandra, Penny, Annie and Jill (all of whom reside in the United Kingdom).

Winsome was born in Westmoreland, Jamaica, and immigrated to London, UK, when she was a child. She met her husband, Thomas, when he was stationed in London while in the Navy.

She was a very loving, caring mother and Navy wife. She became a proud American citizen in November 2021. She was a very devout Christian, spending much of her time reading and studying the Bible.

There will be a private graveside service on Tuesday, November 8, 2022, at Summerville Cemetery and Mausoleum, Summerville, SC.
