Bob Hensley posted a condolence

I have so many great memories in my head of times with Bob. We played basketball with a passion almost anywhere we could get a pickup game. He knocked my teeth out one Sunday afternoon and we played again a few days later. He was such a good competitor and so much fun. The Werner's 4th of July pool parties were something to live for each year. He made the best (and, the biggest) gin and tonics ever built. The food and conversation and laughing with friends was good enough to last you for a whole year. So much fun! Full of life and very positive. Biking was his passion, it seemed, and the emails with the funnies were always coming at the most needed time. Love the weddings, too, and Charleston. I haven't seen you as much the last few years, Bobby, but I miss you already and will pray each day that God finds a great way to put you to work in heaven. Love ya, man. Thanks for sharing some part of your great life with us. It was a great run. Bob Hensley

Wes Judge posted a condolence
Tuesday, November 22, 2022
I have known the Robert Werner family for 35 years through marriage to my lovely wife Janet Hampton Judge, (Bob’s Niece). The relationship of Janet, Greg, Erin, and I to the family is precious to us and Bob will forever be held dear.
I spent many a fun weekend at Rocklyn Drive and Bobs fun loving nature was always front and center trying to fool Greg with dumb magic tricks, throwing Erin (Little “E”) around the pool, or myself being the brunt of jokes over day-light-savings time or that I spent my singing lesson money on lunch in grade school. He was always trying to do that little extra to solicit a smile from everyone.
Bob was also compassionate, gracious, generous, faithful, and fiercely loyal to his family and friends.
Dear Marion, Katie, Paige, Ryan, John, Owen, and Austin, please accept our deepest sympathy and condolences for your loss. May you find solace in that he lived his life to the fullest and that life was centered around you.
Love,
Wes, Janet, Greg, and Erin
