Obituary of Martha Wiggins

Martha Sue Wiggins, 74, of North Charleston, SC entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, January 2, 2023

Martha was born on October 19, 1948 to Thomas and Mary Kuykendall in Lake Lynn, PA. After Martha graduated from Albert Gallatin High School in 1968 she went on to join the United States Navy in January 1969.

While in the Navy she met the love of her life Larry Wiggins. After she left the Navy in January of 1972 Martha and Larry went on to get married and have two daughters, Lisa Michelle and Jennifer Lynn.

Over the next several years, while taking care of her family and home, she was able to go to college and earn her Bachelor's degree in Applied Science/Business Administration. She then kicked off a 39 year career in the Library field.

In July of 2021, Martha retired and spent her time reading, worshiping the lord and playing with her great grandchildren, Zoey Michelle and Dominic Riley.

Martha was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas and Mary Kuykendall, husband Larry Wiggins, sister Carol Crowe, brother Douglas Kuykendall and brother Keith Kuykendall. She is survived by her sister Frances (Wayne) Bailey, brother William (Diane) Kuykendall, brother Donnie (Iona) Kuykendall, brother Stanley (Rose) Kuykendall, brother Dave (Susan) Kuykendall and sister Lisa Myers. Her children Lisa (Anthony) Grimsley and Jennifer Wiggins. Grandchildren Joshua and Matthew Grimsley and Tyler Van Marter. Great Grandchildren Zoey and Dominic Van Marter. Along with many friends who loved and adored her.

She will live in our hearts and memories forever. Gone but never forgotten. Such an amazing woman taken too soon. The relatives and friends of Martha Sue Wiggins are invited to a visitation at Simplicity 7475 Peppermill Pkwy, North Charleston, SC 29418 Thursday afternoon, January 12, 2023 from 2 pm to 4 pm. Her graveside service will be January 13, 2023 at noon at the Beaufort National Cemetery 1601 Boundary St, Beaufort, SC 29902
