Obituary of Dale Wallingford

Dale Wallingford, 70, passed away January 26, 2023 in Charleston, SC.  He was born on September 1, 1952 in East Cleveland, Ohio to Harry J and Ruth Wallingford.

Dale survived by Evalyn Wallingford (wife of 50+ years)

Daughter Carie St. Onge (Todd) & Grandchildren – Jude Dalyn & Cali Rose Marie

Daughter Cheryl Karn (Andrew)

Siblings – Wendy Parker (Bob), Glenn Wallingford (Terrie), Scott Wallingford (Sherrie)

And a wonderful collection of nieces, nephews, family, friends and loved ones.

 

The family will receive friends and loved ones at Coastal Community Church 460 Arlington Drive Charleston, SC 29414 on Feb 18,  2023. A Celebration of his Life service will begin at 12.  Pastor Chris Rollins will be officiating.  Please be sure to wear bright clothes or your favorite Hawaiian shirt.  Dale lived a good long life and fought a hard battle but did it in his usual quiet manner.  In lieu of flowers, please make contributions to the Coastal Community Church Food Pantry.

 

Though we didn’t have the deep set roots as those of many of our friends and loved ones, Dale & I had the pleasure of making many new ones because of the “sailor” hearts we grew up with.  And because of that life, our memories and cherished moments in time with loved ones is from coast to coast.

 

Dale & I were blessed with  51+ years of adventures, lessons, and thousands of memories.  Trying to reflect on them all is not possible but know as we all reflect and others share them – they will all be cherished – each and everyone – forever.
