Obituary of Ronald William McMillan

Ronald William McMillan entered eternal rest Monday, January 30, 2023.

He is survived by his wife of 30 years Valerie McMillan, brother Steve McMillan and his wife Amy, sister Marcia M. Schneider, his beloved dog Mystery, a son Christopher Stamey of Georgia, and Valerie's son Billy Cotton.

It's not about who has gone before or who is left behind. This is about Ronnie McMillan, 11/06/1952 - 01/30/2023, 1st born son of Bebe and Swindell (Mac) McMillan.

Born in Baker Hospital on Colonial Lake, he was raised at Shell Point, John's Island as well as in the city of Charleston with our grandparents, attending First Baptist Church School. The woods, the ocean, and especially the Stono River near Limehouse Bridge was his home. This love of the outdoors led to his becoming an OTR trucker, spending 28+ years travelling the highways of the US.  His spirit of adventure, his skill, and his willingness to help anyone on the road was second to none.

He lived life on HIS terms.
