Obituary of David Hill

A Life Well Lived 

As a child he was born in Charleston, West Virginia but grew up in Ashland, Kentucky. After he graduated Ashland High School he enlisted in the United States Navy. David went on to serve 27 years as a deep sea diver. 

Retiring from the navy didn’t ever slow David down. As one of the longest serving member of Pine Ridge Fire Department his love for his community showed up until his death. 

He married his first wife Brenda in 1962 and although their marriage didn’t last they had 3 beautiful children together. Debra Cooper, Scott Hill and Steven Hill all of Summerville, South Carolina. David had one granddaughter, Katie whom he loving called nurse ratchet. 

David and his wife Judith married in 1974  and went on to be married for 47 years until her passing October of 2022. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, Emery and Ruby Hill and brother Frank Hill.
