Obituary of Nancy Baker

It is with great sadness we announce the passing of Nancy Joan Spears Stahlhut Baker, born in Indianapolis, Indiana on March 13, 1937. Nancy passed on Feb 26, 2023 in Summerville, SC. She was predeceased by her husband Fred Stahlhut, daughter Judith Stahlhut and brother Tom Spears. She is mourned by her surviving children: Jim Stahlhut, Susan Stahlhut, David Baker, four grandchildren, sister Charlotte Fox and brothers Fred and Steve Spears.

Nancy had a lifelong devotion to God and his Church. She was also an avid runner completing several marathons and half marathons and a devoted grandmother. Her hobbies included sewing and volunteering for many charitable causes. The family would like to thank the Village at Summerville, a Presbyterian community, for their loving care of Nancy.

A memorial service will be held at 10:00am on April 12, 2023 at All Souls Anglican Church, 4042 Hartley Road, Jacksonville, FL 32257. The family is planning an additional service later this year in Indianapolis, Indiana.
