Obituary of Peter Butler Thompson

Peter “Pete” Butler Thompson passed away peacefully at his residence in North Charleston on March 14, 2023.

Even though a failing heart took him from this world, his loving heart left a beacon of light for all that knew him.

Pete had a passionate love affair with his guitar, Nascar, and Juniper Berries, He also spent over 9 years in the US Navy faithfully serving his country.

He was proceeded in death by his son Peter Butler Thompson Jr. and his loving parents, Richard Thompson and Beth Wood. He was survived by his loving family:

Carolyn Wood, Catherine Pope, Timothy Wiggins, David Wiggins, James Biering, Kevin Pope, Robert Jenkins, Joseph Jenkins, and his Mothe-N-Law Earlene Gorchyca

Please Join his family and friends at 1 pm for a Grieving Ceremony at Pete’s favorite hydration station on March 19, 2023, Geno’s Place, 1003 Red Bank Rd, Goose Creek, SC. Food will be provided.

You can shed tears that he is gone, or smile because he lived. Rest in Peace or Sweet Friend.
