Obituary of James Kelly Hensel

It is with deep sorrow and much love that we mourn the sudden passing of James "Jimmy" Kelly Hensel, of Savannah, GA, on March 18, 2023, at the age of 56.

Jimmy leaves behind his partner, Deanna Conrad, beloved children, Alyssa Hensel and Caden Hensel, sister, Eileen Dunn, nieces, Ashley Hensel and Bella Orzo, and nephew, Jakob Orzo, and mother of his children Mary J Hensel as well as numerous other family members and friends. Jimmy is preceded in death by his parents, James Hensel and Mary Hensel.

Jimmy was born on February 27, 1967, in Schenectady, NY, and was a blessing to his parents, James and Mary Hensel. At an early age, his family relocated to Orlando, FL, where Jimmy grew up and spent most of his life until his move to Savannah in 2022. He graduated from Boone High School and attended Seminole State College and Mid Florida Tech. Throughout his life, he had a long career in sales where his outgoing personality served him well.

Jimmy had an unmatched enthusiasm for life and could light up a room with his smile. He loved making people laugh. From a young age, Jimmy excelled at sports, from little league to high school baseball. Jimmy was also a lifelong surfer, and being in the ocean was his happy place; he would always say the saltwater was good for his soul.

He will be missed and remembered by the many lives he touched. A funeral service will be held on April 15, 2023, at 11:00 am at Blessed Trinity Church, 4545 Anderson Road, Orlando, FL, 32812. In addition, there will also be a paddle-out in his honor on April 22, 2023, at 9:00 am at Tables Beach, South Atlantic Ave, Patrick Space Force Base, FL, 32925.

Let us honor Jimmy's memory by remembering the love, kindness, and laughter he brought into this world. He will be forever missed but never forgotten.
