Obituary of Edward Neal Mahaffey

Edward Neal Mahaffey rose to glory on 4/11/2023, with his wife and son, Michael, at his side. He was born on 11/25/1939 in Lower Burrell, PA, to Elsie Baker Mahaffey and Neal Robinson Mahaffey. He is survived by his loving wife of 37 years, Fran, son Michael, daughter Pamela, son Neal, daughter Patricia, mother-in-law Frances Archibald of Richmond, VA, sister Nancy Jane Woodard (John) of Corry,PA, brother-in-law Stephen Archibald (Connie) of Richmond, VA, sister-in-law Victoria Archibald of Wilmington, NC, and numerous nieces, nephews and grandchildren.

Ed graduated from Arnold High school in Lower Burrell, PA, in 1957 and enlisted in the Army in 1959. Later he began his career with the telecommunications industry, located mostly on the East coast. He started out with AT&T and ended with Verizon, in VA, for a total of 40 years. At that point he retired and moved to South Carolina, living in Myrtle Beach and finally Bluffton.

Ed was a very devout man and loved and lived his Christian faith. He was an active member of a church every place he lived and volunteered in so many areas. He was always ready to help, with a smile!

A funeral is scheduled for Thursday, April 27, at 10:30am
