Obituary of Paula Van Wert

On the morning of April 16th, 2023, Ms. Paula Van Wert, 66, of Cross S.C, a former owner of Maximum Quality Construction & Cherished Treasures passed away peacefully after a long battle of lung cancer, at her home, surrounded by many loved ones. Paula was born on December 3, 1956 in Troy, New York, a daughter of the late Robert and Patricia Flaherty. Paula enjoyed crafts, baking, collecting antiques, working in her yard, watching the San Francisco 49ers play but most of all, spending time with her family. 


Surviving is her husband of 27 years, Max Arbo, 3 children, Justin Pedersen (Khristy) of Chapin, S.C, Christine Pedersen of Columbia, S.C, Ashley Van Wert-Mizzell (Corbett) of Moncks Corner, S.C, 10 grandchildren (Alyssa, Wesley, Paula, Chance, Megan, Trenton, Bryton, Holden, Dalton & Graceson) 2 great grandchildren, 5 sisters (Shawn, Julie, June, Katelyn & Patty) as well as a nephew and several nieces. Paula was preceded in death by her youngest child, Michael Van Wert. 


A celebration of her life will be held on Sunday, April 23rd at 2 p.m at her residence. In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be sent to the residence: 1366 Short Cut Road, Cross S.C 29436.
