Obituary of Christine Wingard

On Sunday April 23 of 2023, Christine “Sierzega” Wingard went peacefully to be with the Lord. Born September 11th of 1960 in Newark, New Jersey to the late Alfred and Evelyn Sierzega. She is predeceased by her two sons, Steven and Tommy Wingard.

Surviving is her husband Steven Wingard of 41 amazing years of marriage, their daughter, Stefanie Dangerfield, Son in law, Patrick Dangerfield, and grandchildren, Steven, Savannah, and Jackson Dangerfield. Her Brother, Joe Sierzega(Sandy), Sister, Diane Hauer(James), niece, Nicole Hauer Mackey, nephews, Jimmy Hauer, Brian Hauer, Joey Sierzega, Danny Sierzega, and Ricky Sierzega.

Chris had a deep love for God, her family, sports, and telling you the truth. If you knew Chris, you knew she was the boss. Ask Father Luke. Chris was a true Jersey Girl. She was a die hard Packers, Yankees, and Carolina Gamecocks fan. She has served as a member of the Summerville Elks lodge, alongside her faithful husband Steve. In recent years, she found her calling, serving the Lord as Parish Administrator to St. Timothy’s Church in Cane Bay, SC. She had a passion for serving others in need, and fulfilled that passion by overseeing the churches Food Distribution, to provide food to families in need. Her marriage to Steve of 41 years was that of which fairy tales were made from. Their love, faithfulness, and devotion to one another was a true testament of what marriage is supposed to be. She loved her grandchildren so much. She has made sure her legacy of love for everyone and her faith of God will live on through them. So many great memories of Chris will always be with all of us that have had the pleasure to know her.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held on Saturday, April the 29th at 5pm at St. Timothy’s Church. 438 Marketplace Dr, Summerville, SC 29486.
