Obituary of Scott Pruitt Rush

Scott Pruitt Rush 59 of Charleston, S.C. entered eternal rest on May 21st, 2023.

    Born March 1st, 1964, in Miami Fla to Patsy Liddell and Bill Rush. He graduated from James Island High School and lived in the low country of Charleston S.C. for most of his life. 

Scott was a dedicated & accomplished musician who had many passions, but his love for the drums shined through and was known by everyone he met. He was the drummer for the local band “Charleston Express” among other collaborative projects for over 40 years. 

He is survived by his daughter Rachel Rush, sister Katherine Garcia, brother David Keenum, nieces, and nephews. 

The impact of Scott’s larger-than-life personality will be remembered by the many friends and acquaintances he met over the years.

A celebration of Scott Rush’s life will be held Friday, June 2nd, 2023, Starting at 6:00 pm at The Salem Baptist Church. 321 Old Summerville Rd., Summerville, S.C. 29483 Family will receive friends from 5:00 pm-6:00 pm
