N. Charleston, SC – A visitation celebrating the life of Mr. Jack Leroy Chumney, 88, who entered eternal rest June 16, 2023, will be conducted from 1-3PM, Friday, June 30, 2023, at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial, 7475 Peppermill Parkway, Suite E, N. Charleston, SC.

Mr. Chumney was born July 7, 1934, in Halifax, VA. He began his military service in the United States Air Force, Civil Service and finished in the United States Air Force Reserves as a Master Sargeant.

Jack met his beloved wife, Linda Morgan Chumney in 1968 and remained married for 54 years. Together they had three wonderful children, Wade, Lee and Pamela.

Jack continued his love of aviation so much so, that he worked for years on his own Biplane, which he kept in his family’s garage. Jack was also an avid artist specializing in portraits and wildlife. He was a fun loving, hilarious, gregarious, unique man who easily made friends with everyone he met.

Surviving family include Jack Chumney Jr., Gabie Chumney, Wade Chumney (Tammi), Lee Chumney (Christina), Pamela Chumney, 10 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.
