Obituary of Nancy Marie Strouse

Nancy Marie Strouse March 8, 1947 ~ June 19, 2023 Nancy Marie Strouse, widow of Duane F. Strouse, daughter, mother, grandmother, sister and aunt went home to be with the Lord on June 19, 2023, at the age of 76. Her son, Scott W. Strouse, daughter and law, Jamie Strouse, and her two grandchildren, Leo and Gage surrounded her. Her son, Michael D. Strouse, gathered with his brother, sister and law and two nephews at the time of loss.

She was born in Bellefonte on March 8, 1947, a daughter of Joseph James Rose and Isabelle May Fogleman. She graduated from Bald Eagle Area High School June 8, in the class of 1965. She married Duane Frederick Strouse on July 1, 1966 at 7:30 pm in the Howard Church of Christ with the Rev. Gerald Wagner of Beech Creek officiating.

Nancy was a retail associate at Bon Ton, where she welcomed and assisted customers with their needs. Nancy’s many joys in life include reading, game shows, talking with her loved ones, arts and crafts, baking, visiting candy stores and spending time with her grandchildren.

Nancy is survived by her two sons, Michael D. Strouse and Scott W. Strouse. She leaves behind three sisters and four brothers: Mary Mueller and husband Tom Mueller, Connie Bjalme and husband Carl Bjalme, Brenda Boyles and husband Allen Boyles, Dave Rose and wife Terri Rose, Art Fogleman and wife Cindy Fogleman, Don Rose, and Richard Fogleman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Duane Frederick Strouse and her mom, Isabelle May Fogleman.

There will be no funeral or memorial service held. Nancy will be laid to rest by her husband at Rest Haven Memorial Park, Pine Creek Township, PA.
