Obituary of Rachelle Rennee Eagan

Rachelle Rennee Eagan (Hamilton) aka “Shelly, age of 64. formerly of Sumter, SC passed peacefully on June 18, 2023, at the Lowcountry Community Hospice House – Agape Care in Summerville, SC. She was born on March 31, 1959, in California, to the late Emma Peters and Jack Hamilton and also was raised by the late Roy “Pete” Peters

 

She attended James Island High School. Rachelle worked at various places, including Piggly Wiggly Bakery, La Petite Academy, Linq Industrial Fabrics Inc, and Exxon Chemical, where she was a forklift driver.

 

Rachelle had a zest for life and enjoyed spending time with her family and friends. She loved riding horses when her health allowed her to, thrifty shoper, painting, going to the beach, and singing karaoke. She was also known by some as the; ” Goodwill Bandit”. She enjoyed going overboard with decorating for Christmas and loved making her homemade chocolate chip cookies and her special cadies for any and all. Rachelle was a doting grandmother. She was very often getting a new box of hair dye changing her hair color very often. She wasn’t afraid to speak her mind and she loved to have the last word. If she was near a pool she was cleaning it! She forgave easily and often was drinking an orange cream slushy from Sonic.

 

Rachelle will be deeply missed by her surviving family members, including her two daughters, Amy Sanchez and Melissa Reed, her grand-children, Sara Hoffman, Alexander Hernandez, Mackenzie and Austin Lyons, and great-grandson, Julius Hoffman. Her siblings Rose, Carol, David,  J Vanessa (in-law), and Laurie (in-law), her nieces and nephews include Daniel, George, Steven, Brian, Ronald, Scott, Jason, Jennifer, Theresa, Tosha, and Abby, Michael, and Tyler, her boyfriend, Jesus Chavarro, and friends, Terri, Kim, Nic, Norma, and Samantha. Preceding her in passing are her late husband Brian John Eagan and her brother Jack G. Hamilton II. Her parents Emma Peters, Jack Hamilton and step father Pete Peters.

 

Rachelle's funeral service will be held at: St. Luke Lutheran Church located at: 206 Central Ave. Summerville SC, 29483 on June 29, 2023; at: 1:00 pm officiated by Pastor Nathan Rice Following the service  She will be interred at: St Luke’s Lutheran Church Columbarium.
