Obituary of Bobby Franklin Harrelson, Sr

Bobby Franklin Harrelson, Sr. 76 of Summerville, SC, husband of Sandra Culbertson Harrelson, entered into eternal rest July 28, 2023, sounded by his loving family. Bobby was born in Mullins, SC. He served in the United States Marines and then worked for Charleston Supply/Dillon Supply for 47 years before retirement. Bobby was an avid golfer, fisherman and an enthusiastic fan of the Atlanta Braves and Georgia Bulldogs. He enjoyed spending time with his family and one of his greatest joys were his four grandchildren and great grandson.

“Papa” Bobby is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sandra, son Bobby (Melissa) of North Charleston, and son Stephen (Stephanie) of Mt. Pleasant. He had four grandchildren Savannah, Stephen, Bobby, Sophie and one great-grandchild, Henry. He is also survived by his sister, Judy Malone and brother, Jimmy (Debbie) Culbertson.

The family will receive friends and family on August 2, 2023 from 5-6 pm with the service following at 6 pm at Cokesbury UMC, 4990 Dorchester Road, North Charleston, SC 29418.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorials be made in his honor to Cokesbury United Methodist Church or The Fisher House in Charleston, SC.
