Obituary of Norman Aurele Bourdeau

Norman Aurele Bourdeau, 80, of Summerville, SC passed away on the evening of August 7, 2023 surrounded by his family, after a long battle with lung cancer. He was born on January 25, 1943 in Worcester, MA, the son of the late Aurele J. Bourdeau and Leona L. Brown.  He was the husband of the late Sharon G. Bourdeau.  He is survived by two daughters (Kelly Hallman and Kimberly Schulken), five grandchildren ( Brittany Peiffer, Taylor Hallman, Logan Schulken, Laurin Martin,and  Brooklyn Schulken), and four great-grandchildren ( Madison Palmer, Dawson Peiffer, Bellamy Peiffer, and Hudson Martin). He was a veteran of the US Air Force and the SC National Guard.  He was a ship’s inspector at the Charleston Naval Shipyard and retired from there when the shipyard closed. The family will have a private ceremony at Fort Jackson National Cemetery in Columbia, SC with full military honors at a later date.
