Obituary of Clariece Owens Chesser

Obituary:

Clariece Owens Chesser of Ravenel, SC passed away on August 14th, 2023 at the age of 87.  Clariece was born in Charleston, SC on March 10th, 1936 to the late Jeff Owens and Mary Ethel Dyches Owens.  Clariece loved traveling, her family, shagging and we cannot leave out Alan Jackson.  She attended the late St. Paul’s High School in Hollywood and was a member of the Eastern Star. Clariece was married to the late Charles Grady Chesser Sr. and they had 5 children: Gail Chaplin (Bubba), Melinda Gay, Chuck Chesser (Denise), Eric Chesser and Keith Chesser.  She had 11 grandchildren: Linda Cleland (Chris), Glenda Garvin (TL), Bryan J. Charlebois, Erica Chesser (Stacy), Jeff Chesser (Amber), Ryan Chesser, Owen Chesser (Mikali), Hugh Chesser, Samantha Chesser, Carli Chesser and Rebecca Chesser.  Clariece also had the joy of 9 great grands: Matthew Charlebois, Tristen Peeples, Abby Garvin, Katherine Charlebois, Laylee Chesser, Luke Garvin, Melinda Chesser, Gradyn Chesser and KJC.  Also loved her great great grandchild Hudson Koontz. 

No Black, No Blue will be Necessary- Clariece enjoyed colors so let us celebrate her brightly. Services will be at First Baptist Church of Ravenel at 5987 Hwy 165 Ravenel, SC. Visitation for family/friends start at 10:00am and the Celebration of Life service at 11:00am with the burial following in the cemetery.
