Obituary of Richard Earl Warrell

Richard Earl Warrell, 80, of Summerville, SC, husband of Rose Marie Warrell, passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023

at his residence. Family and friends are invited to attend his memorial service on Saturday, September 9, 2023 at 11 o’clock at Summerville Presbyterian Church 407 South Laural Street, Summerville, SC 29483. A reception will be held after from 12 o’clock to 2 o’clock at the church hall.

Richard was born on Saturday, November 21, 1942 in Williamsport, PA, son of George Lester Warrell of Williamsport, PA and Mildred Emma Warrell of Williamsport, PA.

He graduated from Williamsport High School in 1961 and enlisted in the United States Air Force August 6, 1961. He attended Williamsport Community College after serving his country in the Air Force. He married Rose April 19, 1969. In 1970 he entered an apprenticeship for Plumbers and Pipefitters in Williamsport, PA. He retired in 2008 from the UA local 421 Plumbers and Pipefitters in North Charleston. He enjoyed being a licensed pilot, sailing his sailboat, traveling and most of all he loved being an artist. He specialized in water color paintings.

Survivors including his wife, Rose: Daughter Shelby Ann Ward(Michael) of Zephyrhills, FL, Son Matthew Richard Warrell(Amanda) of Knightsville, SC; Grandchildren: Savannah Rose Hunter, McKayla Victoria Warrell and Jacob Richard Warrell; Nieces: Connie Elaine Davis and Carol Ann Fuller, both of Williamsport, PA

Richard was predeceased by: Father, George Lester Warrell, Mother, Mildred Emma Warrell, Sister, Ethel Mae Howard, brother, George Warrell Jr. and son-in-law, Russell John King.
