Obituary…. Brian Joseph Castengera
Brian Joseph Castengera passed away on August 28th 2023. He was born in Charleston, South Carolina on September 25, 1969. He is survived by his parents Jerry Wyndham Lamb (Guy), Philip James Castengera (Sally) both from Charleston, SC, son, Joseph Vannoy Castengera, Ensign US Navy, Everett, WA, and sister, Tanice M. Pate, Quitman, GA.
Brian was an avid outdoorsman with a deep love for fishing and hunting in the rivers and creeks throughout his beloved Low Country, particularly the Wadboo Creek outside of Moncks Corner. His love of the Low Country was deep and lifelong, with his son Joseph as his constant companion. Their stories were commonly described as a “Great Adventure” and could fill a book!
Brian’s knowledge of the outdoors was not limited to just fishing and hunting; he was greatly interested in the Flora and Fauna of most of God’s creatures. He would describe their characteristics, habits, and markings in such great detail it would impress J.J. Audubon himself. Brian’s other love was music, leading him to create his own radio podcast, where he provided the background on various artists and their music. He believed in both the originality of music and verse.
Brian’s passing leaves a large void, and he will be missed by his family and friends. God rest his soul; we are confident he will find that “honey hole” in God’s Kingdom!
