Obituary of Corey Brown

On August 31, 2023, Corey Thomas Brown, a loving husband and father,  passed away at age 33 in a North Charleston Hospital. 

 

Corey was born on October 4, 1989 in Supply, North Carolina to Scott and Leesa Woodson Brown. He moved to Jamestown, South Carolina in 2010 and made it his forever home.

 

Corey was a mechanic for Autoworks of Charleston, and a lead member of The Santee River Rats boat club. He spent his free time with his son teaching him new things & enjoying life. Corey enjoyed golfing, fishing, four wheeler riding, playing pool & driving his jet boat down the Santee River. He was big on “making memories baybeee!” with his family & friends. 

 

Corey had an outgoing personality & a free spirit. His laugher was loud and contagious. His heart was big & he loved everyone. Corey never met a stranger that he didn’t have an impact on. 

 

Surviving are Corey’s wife Kacie Casselman Brown of Jamestown SC, and their son Garrett. Grandparents, Larry and Ricki Brown of Supply, NC. Parents, Scott Brown of Supply, NC and Leesa Woodson Brown of Loris, SC. A sister Chelsea Brown (aka tuts), her fiancé Hunter Hewett of North Carolina, & their children Kayleigh & Wyatt.

 

A memorial is going to take place at Word of Christ Fellowship, North Carolina on September 9, 1pm. : 1290 Stone Chimney Rd SW, Supply, NC 28462. 

The celebration of his life is going to take place at the Steel Shed in Jamestown, SC on October 1, 2-6: 116 Steel Shed lane, Jamestown, SC 29453.
