Obituary of Barbara Jean Foose

Barbara (Barb) Jean Foose peacefully passed away on September 6, 2023, in Beaufort, South Carolina. She was born on October 13, 1942, in Euclid, Ohio, to her late parents, Ralph and Marie Young. Barb was a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, and friend who will be deeply missed by all who knew her.


Barb was a fun-loving and kind-hearted individual who had an infectious laugh that could brighten anyone's day. She was known for her welcoming nature and her caring personality. Despite facing recent health issues, Barb remained strong-willed and fought with determination. She cherished her immediate and extended family, finding joy in spending time with them.

In her free time, Barb enjoyed dancing, particularly polka dancing, which brought her immense happiness. She also had a love for playing canasta. Barb had a green thumb and could grow just about any type of plant, earning her a reputation as a skilled gardener. Over the years, she had an ongoing battle with deer that tried to eat her beloved plants.

Barb leaves behind a legacy of love and cherished memories. She is survived by her devoted spouse of nearly 60 years, Robert (Bob) Foose, her daughter Connie Bond and son-in-law Mark Bond, her son Jeff Foose, her grandson Austin Bond and his girlfriend Danielle Meade, her brother Myron Young, her sister-in-law Beth Young, her sister-in-law Mary Ann Young, as well as several nieces, nephews, great-nieces, and great-nephews. She was preceded in death by her father Ralph Young, her mother Marie Young, and her brothers Ralph Young and Jerry Young. 

As per Barb's request, no memorial service will be held. Her family invites friends and loved ones to remember her in their own personal way. Barb's vibrant spirit and loving nature will forever be cherished in the hearts of those who knew her.
