Obituary of George Thomas Farrey

George Thomas Farrey (74) of Summerville, SC passed away at his home Sept. 6, 2023 after suffering from Alzheimers. His wife and daughters were by his side.

George was born May 2, 1949 in Wilkes-Barre PA. He served in the U.S. Air Force which landed him in Charleston SC. After being Honorably Discharged from the military, he became a Police Officer, and eventually retired from North Charleston Police Dept. As a hobby in his younger years, George earned his Private Pilot license. He loved to fly Cessnas in his free time, but loved nothing more than to be surrounded by his family. George was preceded in death by his mother, Eleanor (Dunbar) Farrey, his father Thomas Vincent Farrey, and two brothers, Robert and Thomas V. Farrey Jr.

He is survived by his wife Doris (Dreher) Farrey, and his three daughters, Amanda (Brian), MaKayla, and Mariah.

Services for George will be held Friday, September 22, 2023 at Dorchester Memory Gardens Chapel from 2:00-4:00 - 11000 Dorchester Rd. Summerville, SC 29485
