Obituary of Sharon Rose Wambach

Our precious mother Sharon Rose Wambach, 70, of North Charleston, SC passed away on October 19, 2023. She was born in Knoxville, TN where she always longed to return. While her picture clearly demonstrates that she was likely a timeless beauty, her exact age was unknown. Sharon was one of the hardest working women and taught us to work hard in life. She loved to help people, bring a smile to their face and always encouraged us to do the very best we can. Her proudest achievements were always her children. 

She leaves behind a very dysfunctional family that she was very proud of. Sharon is survived by her children, Cassandra Driggers (Michael) of Cottageville, SC, Scott Thorpe (Delaina) of Ridgeville, SC; Shannon Nelson (Robbie) of St Stephens, SC, Melissa Wambach (Jason) of Cottageville, SC, William Smallwood of North Charleston, SC and Jeffrey Way of North Charleston, SC; 12 grandchildren, Tamra, Angela, Justin, David, Kent, McKenzie, Easton, Jacob, Abigail, Madilyn, Emmalyn and Jonathan; and 6 great grandchildren; Lauralynn, Colton, Annabeth, Amelia, Alexander, and Wrenley. Besides her children, she is also survived by her sister, Clara Angleton of Cottageville, SC; nephew, Christopher Hickman of Cottageville, SC and niece, Lisa Coggins of Boulder, CO.

She is preceded in death by her mother, Marjorie Cleo Hickman Wynn, of Knoxville, TN, grandparents Rev William Harrison Hickman and Helen Ruth Brogdon Hickman of Knoxville, TN, several aunts, uncles and cousins.

She will be greatly missed and probably entered Heaven asking for a cup of coffee and a cigarette!
