Obituary of Melanie Brown-Gonzales Moorer

Melanie Brown-Gonzales Moorer, 46, of St. George, SC, formerly of North Charleston, SC, died Saturday, December 1, 2018.  She will be remembered with Visitation at Rhett Avenue Christian Church, 5103 North Rhett Avenue, North Charleston, SC, on Friday, December 7, 2018, from 4:30 pm until 6:00 pm, followed by a Celebration of Life Service at 6:00 pm. Arrangements by Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services.

Melanie was born October 2, 1972 in Oscoda, Michigan.  She was a graduate of North Charleston High School and Trident Technical College with a degree in Respiratory Therapy.

She is survived by her husband, David Brian Moorer, children Taylar Buck (Jud Milam) of Bluffton and Frank Buck of North Charleston, parents Stephen Gonzales and Donna Kinard Gonzales of North Charleston, sister Mary Courtney Gonzales (Matt) Andrews of Goose Creek, brother Grady (Sundi) Gonzales and his sons Grasun and Gunnar of Rock Hill, grandmother Barbara Gonzales, and uncles Michael Kinard (Faith Carte) and Michael Gonzales (Lynda Grossman).   She was preceded in death by uncles Bobby Kinard and Billy Kinard, and grandparents Willard G. Kinard, Mary Lucille Kinard, and James E. Gonzales.
