Obituary of Ronald Gonzalez

GONZALEZ, Ronald

Ronald K. Gonzalez of Hanahan went to be with the Lord on Sunday, December 16th 2018, after a brief battle with cancer. 

The most precious memories of Ron will resound in the lives of his beloved wife Celia of 25 years, their three children: Derrick Gonzalez, Laura Powell and husband Josh, Kimberly Matthews, and his five grandchildren: Hannah, Lucious, Joshua, Malakai and Emma. Ron will be greatly missed by his sister, Sharon McDermott and husband Michael, brothers: Robert Gonzalez and wife Michele, Michael Cardoze, and Ricky Gonzalez, nephews and nieces: Ben, Adam, Kyle, Jared, Melissa, Lorissa, Jennifer and Mary, and sister-in-law Lori Petit. 

Originally from New York and Connecticut Ron moved to Charleston, SC while in the U.S. Navy, worked at the Charleston shipyard until it’s closing, then changing his career to HVAC and finally maintenance supervising at various apartment complexes.  

A private celebration of his life will be held in late April 2019.
