Obituary of Rae Mable Hodge Ward

Rae Mable Hodge Ward, 83, passed on January 21, 2019. Her husband of 40 years John W. Ward, was by her side. She was also surrounded by those who loved and will miss her the most.

 She has four daughters; Linda Kay Archibald, Brenda Rae Hughes, Patricia Ann Springs, Connie Walle, and one son, Willie Oneal Fitch. She also has 12 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and 7 great, great grandchildren.

The light of our family has passed away. How much we love her, no words can say. God has decided to call her home.

Toward the end of her life, she wasn’t alone. We said our goodbyes as we kissed her cheek and whispered we love you as she went to sleep. We told her don’t worry, it’s okay to go.

We will always miss you and love you so.

A memorial service will be held Friday, January 25, from 12 – 2 PM at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services Summerville Chapel (281 Treeland Drive Suite C, Ladson, SC 29456).
