Obituary of Janet Marie Heatley

Janet Marie (Celmer) Heatley, age 67, went to heaven on  Friday, January 25, 2019. She was born on Long Island, New York to the late Walter and Florence (Mackiewicz) Celmer, the second of four children.

Janet was pre-deceased by her husband Ricky in 2017. She is survived by her step-son Chris, daughter-in-law Laura Trish, grandchildren Melanie, Katelyn, CJ, and Chase, sister Leslie and her husband Tom Woz, brother Robert and his wife Joni Celmer, sister Ann and her husband Peter Johnston, uncle and aunt Edward and Dolly Mack, as well as two nieces, six nephews, and a number of cousins.

Janet was a graduate of St Bernard's High School in New London CT and received a degree in elementary and secondary education from Boston University, MA. She also received certification as a Nurse's Assistant. Her passions were the Lord Jesus, children, the outdoors and horses. These led her to a rich tapestry of life experiences that included teaching, horse training, and caring for the sick/elderly.

A funeral Mass will be held at St Anthony's Catholic Church at 10 AM on Saturday, February 2, 2019, 925 S Jeffries Blvd, Walterboro. A luncheon reception will follow at the home of Chris and Trish Heatley, 20 Calico St, Walterboro.
