Obituary of Sam Minnick

Henry S. Minnick, Jr., 74, entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, June 29, 2021 at his residence in Walterboro, South Carolina. (Lovingly known as) Sam was born in Huntingdon, Pennsylvania on November 1, 1946 to the late Donna Treece and Henry S. Minnick, Sr. He leaves behind a loving and devoted wife, Kathy Singletary Minnick, of 31 years. Kathy and Sam were married on August 12, 1989 in Pennsylvania. Sam is survived by a brother, Dale Minnick (Lisa) of Newport, North Carolina. Sam leaves behind a host of extended family that will miss him dearly. Sam was a retired Civil Service welder. He worked at Letterkenny Army Depot in Pennsylvania and later transferred to The Anniston Army Depot in Alabama. He was a member of the Masonic Lodge and The Shriners. He enjoyed fishing, golfing and woodworking. His golfing highlight was hitting a hole-in-one on an Alabama course. A memorial service will be held on Friday, July 2, 2021 at 3 o'clock in the afternoon at Simplicity Lowcountry Cremation and Burial Services located at 281 Treeland Drive in Ladson, South Carolina. In lieu of flowers, the family would like all donations to be made to the Colleton County Animal Service at 33 Poor Ram Road in Walterboro, South Carolina 29488. The family would like to express their gratitude for all the support, prayers, food and love shown at this difficult time.
