Obituary of Diana B Wilkerson

Diana B. Wilkerson(nee Moran) 11/21/1929-08/01/2021
Diana was born in Bermuda in 1929. One of 5 children, she came from a loving Irish Portuguese
culture. She came to the United States in 1950 and became a US Citizen in 1954, she was proud of this
and would often tell people that she was an American and had the papers to prove it!
She married Darrell Wilkerson in 1964 and went on to have 3 wonderful children of whom she was
extraordinarily proud of and was a loving grandmother. She worked in the retail business in various
capacities until her retirement at which point she focused on family and friends. Anyone would tell you
that if you needed anything she was the go to lady. She had a wicked sense of humor and could be
relied on to join in any escapades. She enjoyed a good true crime story, Jeopardy and Judge Judy. She
understood the value of a dollar, an education and the importance of family. She also made a point to
say I love you to those she cared about and reminded us that stuff does not matter-people do.
She leaves behind her daughters-Paula Wilkerson, Darrah Wilkerson Taylor and son Darrell M. Wilkerson
II. Her beloved grandchildren: Lily Wilkerson, Diana Cahill, Ashley Cahill, Theo Cahill, Mackenzie
Wilkerson and Jackson Wilkerson. She also had wonderful nieces and nephews as well as extended
family along with many friends.
Diana’s 91 years were filled with many challenges and many joys. She leaves behind a legacy for those
who knew and loved her of grace, dignity, and the power of prayer and enduring love. The memories of
this amazing woman will be a comfort until we are all together again.
