Obituary of Henry Montgomery Barker

Henry Montgomery Barker passed to Eternal Life, Wednesday, August 11, in his home at the age of 71, after a heroic battle with cancer. He is survived by his daughter, Cindy Burtt (Andy), grandsons, A.J. and Robbie, brothers, Maynard (Marianne) and Lee (Dedra), along with many extended family members.

Monty was a graduate of GA State University with a BS degree in Urban Planning. He completed graduate studies in Urban Planning at GA Tech. He was an entrepreneur owning two sporting goods stores on Hilton Head known as Atlantic Athletic. He also worked as a real estate agent, property appraiser, and a licensed insurance adjuster. He was an avid football fan and an avid Bible student. He loved the Lord and is now in heaven with many loved ones, including two older sisters, Anna and Gail. He is with the Lord. As Peter said, "Lord, to whom should we go? You have the words of eternal life." John 6:68.

His wishes were to celebrate his life with family and close friends at Ephesus Baptist Church in Roopville, GA.
