Obituary of Mary Louise Glover

Ms. Mary Glover, affectionately known as “Daisy”, was born December 31, 1958, in New York City, New York to the late Willie Smalls and Louise Singleton Collins. God called her home on August 17, 2021.

Mary was preceded by her son, Leon Swinton. She is survived by her daughter Sarah Gordon, Granddaughters Shalise and Shanel Gordon, and Grandson Louis Gordon, Jr. She leaves behind her brothers, Samuel Singleton, Torrie Singleton, and Perry Robinson; her sisters Cecelia Morrissey, Judy Singleton, and Rhonda Robinson; a host of nephews, nieces, friends, and her loving and devoted friend Benjamin Heyward.

Her education began in New York City at P.S. 63, I.S. 201 Junior High, Brandice and Morris High School’s. She furthered her career in the medical field as a certified Home Health Aide and worked at the assisted living facility, Serenity Manor in North Charleston, S.C.

Mary showed beauty, strength, and courage in all she had done. Hospitality was her joy. She used her gift as a great cook to heal and uplift those she cared for. Her quick wit and laughter brightened any moment. The heartfelt and loving hugs given by Mary to anyone in a time of need will be felt for years to come. She is overwhelmingly loved and will be remembered by family, friends, and many others that crossed her path. Her faith in God and strong sense of commitment made her a loving, devoted, and proud mother and grandmother.
