Obituary of Donald A Knowlton

Donald A. Knowlton, 76, of Summerville, SC passed away August 19,2021 in his home surrounded by his loved ones.

Donald was born October 25, 1944 in Norwich, CT

the son of the late Milo and Arlene Knowlton.

Donald was predeceased by his brother Richard P. Knowlton Sr. Twin brother William M. Knowlton Sr. and sister Darlene E. Phoenix.

Donald worked for Electric Boat in Groton, CT for 32 years before his retirement. He loved woodworking and making birth/celebration plaques for family and friends. He was also an avid golfer and bowler, playing alongside his brothers for many years. Donald loved vacationing in N.H. every summer with his family, and was a big New England sports fan.

Donald leaves behind his wife of 44 years, Barbara 'Pecunies' Knowlton, children, Donald Knowlton Jr. and wife Tina of NE, Tiffany Knowlton of SC, Tyler Knowlton and wife Samone of SC, Derek Knowlton and wife Holly of CT. His sister Phyllis Guevremont and her husband Paul, and his brother Robert Wilson.

Donald also leaves behind many grandchildren, one great grandchild, and many nieces and nephews.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Charleston for coming in and taking care of Donald.
