Obituary of William Glen Maner

William Glen Maner, age 63, of N. Charleston, passed away peacefully at his residence on Sunday, August 8, 2021. There will be a memorial/visitation from 2pm-3pm, Wednesday, Sept. 8, at Simplicity of N. Charleston, 7475 Peppermill Parkway. Glen was born January 8, 1958, son of the late William Grady Maner (1992) & Melva Whittington Maner (2010). He was a former employee at the Charleston Naval Shipyard. He had most recently been employed in the transportation industry. He is survived by his brother Thomas “Tommy” Maner of N. Charleston, sister-in-law Mary Jo Maner of N. Charleston, nephew Justin Maner (wife Reagan), nephew Steven Maner, great nephew Carsten Maner, & great niece Kennedy Maner. He is also survived by first cousins Gaye Maner Stahl, Mike Maner, Jimmy Maner, & Ray Cox, as well as many other 2nd & 3rd cousins.
Glen was a 1977 graduate of Garrett High School. He was a longtime resident of Wando Woods subdivision, and an avid lifetime racing fan.
