Obituary of Jessica LaChance

Jessica Hills LaChance, 43, of Summerville, SC passed away Thursday, November 4, 2021, at the Medical University of South Carolina.  She was born on April 8, 1978, in Charleston, SC, the daughter of John (Skeeter) and Karen (Buzzell) Hills of Summerville.

Jessica graduated from Genoa-Kingston High School in 1996.  After graduating from cosmetology school in 2002, she worked at various salons and barber shops in both Illinois and South Carolina.

She was a member of Lebanon United Methodist Church and a regular attendee of Church at Cane Bay.

She is survived by her husband, Craig LaChance of Summerville and her three children - the loves of her life - Savanna, Kaytlin and Kevin Mapes.  In addition, she has numerous aunts, uncles and cousins.  Jessica was also loved by so many good friends and her two fur babies, Scout and Enzee.  She was preceded in death by two brothers; Jarrod in 1975 and Kevin in 1990. 

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the 529 educational fund of Jessica’s children Contact immediate family for additional information. 

Funeral services will be Friday, November 12, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. at Bethany United Methodist Church in Summerville.  Visitation will be Thursday, November 11th, from 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. in the Fellowship Hall at Bethany UMC.
