Obituary of Martha "Terry" A Tudor

Martha Alice Bruce Tudor "Terry", 79, of Goose Creek passed away peacefully Friday, November 26, 2021, with her family & husband by her side.

Terry was born April 13,1942 in Columbia, SC. She was the oldest of 7 children. She is preceded in death by her parents, Alton and Sue Andrews of Charleston, SC and Robert Bruce of Greenville, SC. Surviving are her husband of 63 years, Bennie Tudor and her 3 children, Eddie Tudor (Rhonda), Michael Tudor (Susan), and Christine Haas (Steven), 9 Grandchildren, and 4 Great Grandchildren, her brother Greg Bruce & sister Lisa Bruce Moore of Pelzer SC, many nieces and nephews as well as everyone who was ever touched by her beautiful smile.

Terry served the Goose Creek community working for the Goose Creek Parks and Playgrounds for over 30 years and the City of Goose Creek Recreation Department for another 3 years before retiring. She served on the SC State Draught Commission, was deputized by the Sheriff of Berkeley County, and was the Treasurer for the SC Special Purpose Districts for many years.

She loved her family. She loved to travel. Vacations, especially with her children and grandchildren were a priority. She always made everyone feel so welcome. She loved to cook, and for years, the family would gather together for dinner every Sunday afternoon. She graciously opened her home to all who attended.

Visitation will be at Simplicity Lowcountry, 281 Treeland Drive Ladson, Friday, December 3, 2021, from 11:00-12:00, and a private funeral will be at Noon for family and close friends.
