Obituary of John Samuel Wilson

JOHN S. WILSON

John Samuel Wilson, Goose Creek, SC, peacefully passed on December 9, 2021. He was born in Rising Sun, Maryland, on November 19, 1939 to parents William Elwood Wilson and Mary Louise Keppel Wilson.

John, also known as Jack, Bud, Popom, and Chief is survived by his brother Barry (Dianne) Wilson, Berrien Springs, MI and eight children John (Jack) S. Wilson, Jr., Carole Jackson, Joseph (Paula) Schepisi; Sherry (Don) Dixon; Carrie (Danny) Conyers; Elizabeth (Maged Adawy) Schepisi; Joanne Salas; Jerry (Karen) Schepisi; 15 grandchildren, 37 great grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren.

John was known by friends, colleagues, and family to be a loving, loyal man devoted to family. He served and was honorably discharged from the United States Marine Corps and served and retired from the United States Air Force (USAF). Following retirement from the USAF in 1979, he worked for Eastern Air Lines where he left in 1981. His passion was watching his children and grandchildren play any and all sports and in his earlier days he took advantage of all opportunities to golf.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, December 17, 2021 at 1:00 PM at Simplicity Lowcountry, 281 Treeline Drive, Suite C, Ladson, SC 29456. Interment at The National Cemetery, Beaufort SC is TBD at a later date.
