Obituary of Jean Bowling Inabinet

Jean Bowling Inabinet went to be with the Lord on Friday, December 29, 2023.

 

Jean was born in Greenwood, South Carolina on July 27, 1940, to the late Rev. G. W. and Thelma Bowling.

 

Jean graduated from Mainland High School, Daytona Beach, and received an Associate Degree from Anderson College and a Bachelor of Science Degree from the Baptist College.  Jean served the State of South Carolina for 31 years; 5 years with the South Carolina Department of Vocational Rehabilitation and 26 years with the South Carolina Department of Disabilities and Special Needs.

 

Jean was a Christ follower and a member of Summerville Baptist Church for over 50 years where, in addition to singing in the choir and serving on numerous committees and teams, she served alongside her husband teaching a young adult's class for 14 years and a couple's class for 32 years.  Jean loved the Lord and showed her love for the Lord in her actions and her words.

 

Jean was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.

 

Jean is survived by her husband of 50 years, Wilson V. Inabinet, Jr., daughter, Dana Caldwell (husband Jay), brother, G. Daniel Bowling, daughter-in-law, Fonda Inabinet, and four grandchildren, Justin Caldwell (wife Shelby), Ryan Caldwell, Rae Inabinet Boatwright (husband Harrison), Julian Inabinet, and two great-grandchildren, Eliza and Maizy Caldwell.  Jean was predeceased by her parents, Rev. G. W. and Thelma Bowling and son, Rev. Daniel Inabinet.

 

A memorial service celebrating the life of Jean Inabinet will be held on Saturday, January 13, 2024, at Summerville Baptist Church.  The service will be held at 12:00 pm with a visitation preceding the service at 11:00 am.

 

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Summerville Baptist Church's Kingdom Come Fund.
