A proud patriot, John dedicated over eleven years of his life to serving his country in the United States Navy and Air Force Reserves. John offered his services as a volunteer for Kairos Prison Ministry, a Christian nonprofit that ministers to the spiritual needs of the incarcerated. He was a man of the outdoors, finding joy in hunting, fishing, and cultivating his garden. An avid sports enthusiast, John's passion extended to football, baseball, basketball, and NASCAR, with a special allegiance to the South Carolina Gamecocks.
