Obituary of Frank Z. Soler

Frank Z. Soler, 92, of Bluffton, SC, passed away on March 17, 2024. He was born on April 22, 1931, in New York, NY.

Frank was a devoted husband to Colette Soler, whom he married on December 24, 1957. He is survived by his daughter, Leslie Thornbury (Jeff Thornbury), granddaughter Jessica Mammele (Michael Mammele), and grandson Jack Thornbury. Frank was preceded in death by his father, Frank Soler, and his mother, Mercedes Soler.

Frank was born in New York City, to the parents of Cuban immigrants. Frank served in the Army Intelligence in Europe from 1953 to 1955. After the Army, he graduated from the University of Miami in 1957, where he majored in Economics. Frank was also a proud member of the Delta Sigma Pi fraternity. After graduation and his marriage to Colette, they moved from Miami, FL to Allendale, NJ, where they lived for 43 years.

He began his career at the W.R. Grace in NYC and attended NY University business school. He later became a Vice President and financial analyst at R.W. Pressprich in New York City. Finally, he ventured into entrepreneurship by establishing Market Factors, a stock market publication, where he conducted research.

After retirement, Frank and Colette moved to Bluffton, SC where Frank had a variety of hobbies that brought him joy. He had a passion for drawing and painting, enjoyed listening to jazz music, took pleasure in gardening, and played golf.

A family memorial in CT is planned for this summer. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made to Hospice Care of the Lowcountry, in Bluffton, SC, in Frank's memory.

Frank Z. Soler will be remembered for his dedication to his work, his love for his family, and his passion for various hobbies. He leaves behind cherished memories that will be forever treasured by those who knew him.
