Obituary of Jennifer Jeanne Shields

Jennifer J. Shields (J.J.), of Summerville, South Carolina, age 43, joined her big brother Scotty in heaven on November 11, 2018.  She is survived by her beloved children, the lights of her life, Brandon and Justin Juntoff.  She is further survived by her mother, Terry-Ellen Shields, her sister Elizabeth (Buffy) Camputaro, her sister-in-law Dawn Groom Shields, her sister-in-heart Sherri Hannan, nephews, nieces, and so many dear friends.

J.J. was born July 5, 1975 in Framingham, MA. She was Food, Beverage and Events Manager at Grand Harbor Golf & Yacht Club, where she touched many lives. She brought joy to everyone with her fun loving and goofy sense of humor.  There was never a dull moment when she was around.  She had an infectious laugh and a smile that lit up the room.

J.J. loved riding, frogs, the beach, lake, cooking, and the company of her dog Bo and her many friends. There was no doubt that her family was her everything, her source of love, joy, and happiness. She lightened up our every day.  Even in the most difficult times, she calmed those around her with her beautiful smile, quick wit, and loving soul. She was a gift from God that was taken too soon.  She will forever live on in our memories and hearts.

A private memorial service will be held on November 30, 2018. A public candlelight vigil will be held at a later date in Greenwood. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention.
