Obituary of Linda Kitchens

Linda Louise Kitchens, 63, of Charleston, SC, daughter of Kay and Bill Kitchens, gained her heavenly wings on Sunday, September 22, 2019. Linda’s family also includes her brothers, Les, Chris and Scott Kitchens, daughter Leah Graham and husband Michael, and her grandchildren, Andrew, McKay and Madison. She will truly be missed by her nieces, nephews, grandnieces and grandnephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, second and third cousins. Linda is preceded in death by her loving sister, Kelly.
Linda had a heart of gold and the most selfless person we had the previlage of having in our lives...when Linda would hear that someone needed something, all Linda would hear was “need” and she would be there to help. Just a few weeks ago, Linda’s brother, Les said, “If you want to know somebody with a big heart (pointing at Linda) that is the biggest heart that ever lived”.
Linda truly lived the “salt life”, she first smelt the salty air at the age of 12, when her family moved to Yonges Island. Linda and her best friend, Debbie Marvin Walker, learned how to crab, this was the beginning of Linda’s passion for crabbing. Over the years, Linda loved to teach the art of crabbing to many people, whether it was family, friends or strangers, it was her gift! Linda’s “signature” deviled crab recipe was handed down by her father’s mother, Nanna Kitchens.
“Lulu”is what her grandchildren called her. The memories are to countless to mention, how she loved them so and when she couldn’t be with them, she would talk about them with the love for them in her words, they were Linda’s world!
