Obituary of Robert G Bolton

Robert G. Bolton, 70, of Mt. Pleasant, SC passed away peacefully at his home on Saturday, March 27, 2021.  He was born on September 16, 1950 to the late Rose LaBrasca Bolton.

Bobby attended Riverside Military School and graduated from Moultrie High School.  He started in the family business at eight years old washing dishes at LaBrasca’s.  He later was manager of LaBrasca Pizzeria.  Over many years of working at the family restaurants (LaBrasca’s, the Pizzeria, and Mama’s Tea Room), Bobby made many lifelong friends.  He greeted all with a huge hug and a kiss. Bobby also worked in construction for many years.  He ended his career with Mike Hardee building customs homes.  He got great satisfaction knowing the homes would be with families for generations.  Bobby was a person that loved all people and if you ever met him you definitely would remember him.

Legend has it that Bob started dancing with his Mom at the Merchant Seamen’s Club at the age of thirteen, danced at Arthur Murray, shagged his heart out at the Old Sides, and with the Tams on the Folly Beach Pier.  This large cuddly bear of a man could cut a rug across a dance floor. He continued his love of music way past his dancing years.

Bobby loved the outdoors and instilled the same with his son, Nicki.  Some of his fondest memories were camping with Fraley, Nicki, and their Newfoundland Zoe.

He loved being outside in nature with his son camping, hiking and canoeing.  This love of nature is being carried on through Nicki with his son, Brooks.

He had passion for helping children.  He volunteered at the Dee Norton Child Advocacy Center for many years.  Bobby was very active in AA and considered his friends there as his second family.

Left to cherish his memory are his son, Nicki Bolton; grandson, Brooks Bolton; three sisters, Sheryle Bolton, Denise Berry (Michael), and Suzanne Bolton; one brother, Michael Bolton;  his best friend, Margaret Ann Fraley, the Fraley family  and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life Ceremony will be held at a later date.  Please give a big hug and kiss to your loved ones in memory of Bobby.
