Obituary of Ronald Lee Brase

Ronald Lee Brase (Ron), 70 of Moncks Corner, SC passed away peacefully at his home May 20, 2021. He was a veteran of United States Navy, stationed on the USS Orion Charleston Naval Base, SC. After his military duty, Ron continued to serve his country as a civilian shipfitter/welder for Charleston Naval Shipyard and Philadelphia Naval Shipyard for 20 years. During his military and civilian time, he received many awards and accomplishments. He retired from Metal Trades, Inc Yonges Island, SC.

Born in Cape May Courthouse, NJ, he was preceded in death by his parents, Charles Henry Brase and Evelyn Claire Brase. One surviving brother, Charles H. Brase Jr, (Linda) Cape Coral, Florida. He is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Deborah Ann (Lewis) Brase. A loving father to two sons, Paul Richard (Emilee) of Red Rock, Arizona and Brian Scott (Sarah) of Moncks Corner, SC. A loving "Papa" to his grand-daughters, Kaylee Jewel and Laycee Rose of Red Rock, Arizona and his grandson, Brandon Cooper of Moncks Corner, SC.

Ron had many brothers and sister's in-law, who he considered his own, not in-laws and nieces, nephews and friends.

He enjoyed spending time between his home in South Carolina and home in Arizona with his family and many friends. Ron loved spending quality time with each of his children and grandchildren, making those special for each. During his time in Arizona, he enjoyed camping and boating. Papa never missed any softball games and was always cheering his grandchildren on. An exceptional woodworker, he was a "hands on Papa" teaching his grandson how to use the tools and build things together. He enjoyed having Nerf battles and rc racing with his grandson. Papa always had a little shadow full of questions. His grandchildren were his joy!

His 1957 Panhead Harley Davidson was a very important part of him. Soaring with the wind blowing and the loud sounds only a Harley can make. This was Ron!
