I am very sorry for your loss. I worked with David at the Weapons Station and the Joint Base. He was a great guy and ran probably the best environmental programs in the Navy. He was a good friend and all of us will miss him deeply. My prayer is that God will comfort you and bring you peace during this difficult time.

David was my direct supervisor for 17 years and an excellent man. He always maintained a calm, good-natured demeanor and provided me with good advice over the years. When the time came, he helped transition the Weapons Station environmental personnel into the Joint Base Charleston Team we have today. I will miss him and I am sure you will join me in expressing sympathy for his wife (Jeanie) and family. Please remember them in your thoughts and prayers.

Everybody on the Weapons Station was very fond of David. He was the kind of manager that everyone who didn't work for him wished that they did and everyone who did work for him was very glad that they did. He has been missed ever since he retired. It's a shame that he went so soon after he retired and didn't get to enjoy his retirement for very long. I'm glad that I had the pleasure of knowing David.
