Obituary of Mitchell Arnold Reynolds

Mitchell Arnold Reynolds entered into eternal rest on Tuesday, September 27th, 2016 at his home in Ravenel, SC. A memorial service will be held at 5 p.m. on Monday, October 3rd, 2016 at Sauldam Baptist Church, 5945 County Line Road, Ravenel SC with Pastor John Moore officiating. In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in his memory to the Celebrate Recovery program at James Island Baptist Church, 2023 Wappoo Drive, Charleston, SC 29412. “Arnie”, as he was most often called, was born on August 12th, 1959 in Walterboro, SC to Henry Reynolds and Cecile Roberts Reynolds. He was predeceased in death by his father and brother, Robert Reynolds and is survived by his mother of Ravenel, his sisters Donna Butler(John) and Stacey Reynolds, both of Ravenel, his nephews Christopher Butler (Bunny), Jonathan Butler (Samantha) and Kenneth Butler (Jennifer) and 5 great nieces and nephews, Evan, Elaina, Elijah, Jacob and Julia. Arnie also leaves behind a second family, at Piggly Wiggly in Hollywood, SC where he worked as a meat cutter for 40 years of service and both his fellow employees and the customers will be sure to feel his absence there. There are also many other loved ones left behind, some whom he considered family. An avid hunter and fisherman in his healthier days, Arnie loved spending time doing those things and riding four wheelers, boating, going mudding, camping and all sorts of outdoor adventures. As his health declined, he reminisced on those memories often along with many memories just spending time talking with friends, often gathered around the back of a truck.
